That's funny defiance, Everyone in the South calls it a show! And with Bill Monroe it was all about the show, Gather roun the mic, boys! We gonna do a show, now, no smiles there, and we'll have none a that footstompin boys, this is a show!

sorry to have made a mistake with my statement that you may have worked for free. I don't know you so for that sentence please accept my apoligies. My hope is that every one in the music business makes money so that they are able to put food on the table. Times are tough I wish everyone well. Respectfully,jtm.

Dude you got it twisted. Nick and Ken are both long time PROFESSIONAL musicians. And us working musicians call em GIGS and we do get paid(I've never had a day job been doing this for almost 40 years). wow, thats pretty amazing. Not unheard of but rare a muscian whos been doing it for a living all along. Congrats and keep it up.

Speaking for myself only - I wish I could say all I do is play music but I have had a day job since I was 17 years old, have been playing clubs since about 19 and for the last 12 years playing most Friday and Saturday nights with the occassional gig during the week or Sundays. Thanks guys. It really is a trade off though. A lot of guys my age are collecting retirment checks plus playong the same gigs I am.
I wouldn't trade my life for anything, but I wouldn't really reccomend it for most. But I feel blessed to be able to ply my trade.
