Its in Nevada City at Coopers Ale House from 3 - 7.
I went last Sunday and had a good time. Its a lot closer to my house than the one at Louies. Great host band, and good atmosphere. Downtown Nevada City is a cool place.
My mom was not able to attend this one (Kenbone) but maybe next time, you never know.

;D Right on brother, I'll be there... growin' hair! The Comptones will also be at Coopers this Saturday night from 9 - 1. I do enjoy the people and the vibe at Coopers. Always a good time.

Coopers is a great place to play. I used to play with Amee Chapman who lived in Nevada City so we played there a lot. I also play there with 2Me. The folks are always great, they dance and rock and generally have a great time. But watch the cops there. They sit around the corner and stop a lot of cars coming out of there onto the freeway

Was just talking to the bass player from the band 'Code Red'. He tells me that they were booked to play Coopers on New Years Eve. The agreed fee was $1500. At the end of the night the band is given $680 in cash from the bar manager, owner has already left and supposedly there is no more cash in the till. Bar Manager says the owner will send a check to cover the rest. Needless to say no check has ever arrived and the owner is not returning calls.
I'm surprised by this, haven't heard anything bad about Coopers before, you guys that play there may want to weigh in, but I know Code Red's bass player well and don't think he would be making this up.
Once again proves the value of having a contract.

I used to play Coopers once a month at least, and never had a problem, but it is under new ownership now. I have played there twice since the new owners took over and haven't had a problem

In case the word hasn't made it around, the Sunday jam at Cooper's has been discontinued for the football season. I guess football fans must buy more drinks than musicians and their fans! Oliver is trying to come up with an alternate venue and I'll pass it on when and if.

Hey all! I got an email from Oliver and they're starting a weekly Sunday Jam at the Crazy Horse in Nevada City (across street from Cooper's) from 5 pm to 9 pm starting November 1st.

Check the date. That was almost two years ago! It is closed still as far as I know. I thought it was interesting that one of the whispered reasons for the landlord closing them down was the police chief "didn't think a woman should be running a bar".
