:)I am a drummer who is constantly searching for the right gear-drums,cymbals,pedals and most important-good mics.I already have three bass drum mics-an akg d112,shure beta 52 and a shure beta 91.I always had problems with crosstalk-bass drum mic picking up other drums. I just purchased a contact transducer ribbon mic made by b-band($107 with shipping from Guitar Center online). If you've never heard of this company, check them out.It is a contact mic that is mounted directly on the shell inside the bass drum near the batter head. The wire is fed thru the airhole and plugs into the mic pre-amp.The pre amp has two different micro switches, depending on what kind of sound you want. The mic pre- amp then mounts directly to the airhole, there is no mic stand or clip to mess with. All you do is plug your mic cord right into the pre-amp,very nice!!! Now for the best part-no crosstalk-doesn't pickup any other noise but a fat, punchy bass drum sound.b-band also makes these mics for toms and snares and also sell complete sets of mics. They also have mics for acoustic basses and guitars.Check them out!!!
