These are the ones I know about - they are all open to everyone. You can look up the address and phone numbers on the internet just as easy as I can. I think they all last 4 hours. The atmosphere ? Usually the Jams are filled with mainly musicians, so I think its a welcoming atmosphere. If you show up, and are a jerk however ( which im not suggesting ) I think the atmosphere would turn towards the dark side... Monday - Fox & Goose, Sacramento - 7:30 Tuesday - San Juan Club, Fair Oaks - 7:00 Wednesday - Louies - Rancho Cordova - 8:00 Thursday - Vegas, Sacramento - 7:00 Sunday - Louies, Rancho Cordova - 5:00 Sunday - Coopers Ale House, Nevada City - 3:00 Also, www.openmicatlanta.com/sacramento/html/join.cfm seemed to have some good information, but I dont know if it is all correct. I hope that helps, if it doesnt, I tried

minor clarification to the info you've been given - except for the fox and goose i believe everything else is a 'jam session' i.e. play with others from what ever repertoire is in common (generally da blues) and the session at Louies on Sunday now starts at 5:00 break a leg
