Is there a Jazz Club in Sacramento ?
My wife wants to go hear some Jazz tonight, If you see this message after that, please still respond. It will be good to know for future reference.
Im talking about Jazz that is a 3-piece Bass, Drums, Piano/Sax - maybe with a singer.

Hey Richard- I saw a post on C.L. saying JB's lounge at Red Lion on Arden has Jazz. also, as you know, Memorial Day week-end May 22nd -25th is The Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in Old Sac and there will be jazz just about everywhere

It's not in Sacramento, but the Copper Top bar in Grass Valley is all jazz. I think they have a web site but I'm not sure of the address. It's where the old Silver Dollar club used to be right next to the Del Oro theatre. Mimi Fox and Bill Douglas (guitar and bass) are there Thursday 4/16 (and they'll be at the Red Lion Sunday the 19th, 5 pm the email says).

Hey Richard, Did you make it to Copper Top? I didn't know you lived in Colfax, I live in near Cedar Ridge. What instrument do you play? I'm a drummer looking for someone to play with.

On Wed. nights at the BlueRoom Lounge inside the Capital City Hotel 2600 Auburn Blvd. they do a open Jazz Jam at 8:00 pm. The Jam is having a hard time but they are trying to keep Jazz alive there. Some support from more Jazz lovers will help keep this Jazz Club going on Wed. nights
