You may have heard by now that the Sunday jam at Louies is no more.
Instead we are hoping to establish a first Friday of the month jam starting June 5th. With your support this will be ongoing.
Louies-3030 Mather Field Rd Rancho Cordova 6/5/09 9 PM Host: Steve Foster with Jimmy Bagshaw and yours truely!

It's a shame that this will conflict with the first Friday jam at the Blue Room that's been ongoing for some time.

Jim, we actually set this up for your convenience. It's much closer to your home than the Blue Room :-) See you around 9? Seriously, 2 jams is no big deal. There's at least a couple per weeknight (when people have work the next day) so 2 on a Friday seems pretty reasonable to me. I read today that there were 119 jams Sunday evening in the Sacramento area. Hey folks, if you've never joined us at one of our jams before, please don't hesitate to stop on by. I know that there's a little gossip around town about "this and that" with disgruntled jammers, but don't let that hold you back from having a great time. We have a lot of regulars at the jams, players and listeners, and on behalf of all of them and my bandmates I want you to know that we're all ready for new friends. Very friendly crowd, very supportive. Come on down and meet local talent, network with fellow musicians, or just hang and dig some music and have a beer.

Steve Foster, and the guys that play with him, especially Joe Lev and Jimmy Bagshaw rock. I went to one of his jams, am not a blues player, and I play mandolin. I felt very welcome, and the whole evening was a rippin good time for me.got to play a set with some very good players, and can't imagine how someone could not have a great time jammin with these guys. Check it out!

Steve, Can you work on taking over the Tuesday jam at Shingle Springs? That'd be real convenient for me! Seriously, I believe that the Louie's jam and the Blue Room jam are 2 of the best run jams in the whole area and it's a shame to have to choose between them, though Wednesdays are still alive and well at Louie's of course!
