An invite to check out our band at www.chicagoblues-band.com. The name pretty much says it all - straight ahead, hip shakin', toe tappin', butt wigglin', authentic Chicago style 1950's and 60's blues. If you don't know what that is and want to find out, go to the "Notable & Quotable" page and click on the links by the original artists. And if you're coming to dance, bring an extra (dry) shirt!

Doctor,
That's a very handsome band you have there. Except for the grey haired old guy on the left.

Hey wormdrive66- You want samples of the chicago blues band? Most of the band are regulars at Steve Fosters' jam at Louies Lounge in Rancho Cordova, Wed nights 8pm -12. I can personally vouch for them. Old school, awesome band

Wormdrive,
Yes, there will be samples 8/29 at the Club Car in Auburn. They will be llive samples with no cover charge. C'mon out, and bring an extra shirt....you'll need one.
Thanks Rand for the assesment.
Rand, its guys like you, Foster and company, that nuture an environment that is conducive for allowing musicians to hone their craft on weekly basis, network with others, and if desired, "go ye therforth and prosper". You guys maintain a community of audience and musican that encourage and support musicians to not only develop their craft and network with others, but develop continually on a musical basis, but more important, continue devolpment as a person, or mensch, on a positive level, and enjoy life for the bounties it has to offer.
As a whole, the Sac music scene is very unique in the USA relative to our city's size, in that almost every night (or afternoons on weekends) we have jam opportunities available to us. This is a great music community, and we should support these varied venues to the best of our ability, in order to keep the music alive. The music is consistently very good, and the price of admission to every venue is hard to beat........... FREE.

Likewise ma brutha!
You consistently lay down that bottom that every player in town can always count on for being right where you need to be, when you need to be there. I appreciate you.

So did I. I got off stage completely drenched in persperation, and that's a good thing. Thanks for that fella's.
Appreciate your "real deal" observation, but keep in mind that getting that sound wasn't only the good Doctor and me there were 3 other guys that made it sound like Theresa's Lounge on any Sat. night in Chicago 1959.
Bottom line is, it's all about the rhythm section.
