Wireless for bass guitar

I really want to stop dragging a cord around with me during stage gigs. I want to purchase a wireless transmitter for my bass. There are lots of choices out there with prices that vary a lot. I need a recommendation on what to buy based on hard experience. The bass is an Ibenez and the head is G&K 1001.

I have tried a few different brands and have yet to find one that does not affect the signal from the guitar. they all seem to lower the signal or change it and i lose Tone.
