Last night was cool at the San Juan Club
Its a little tiny place with no stage, so its a totally different feel than Louies. You are right on the floor with people dancing right in your face.
Its always nice to be able to play with a good drummer, Bagshaw has come nice chops. The bartenders were working hard and did a good job as well. The regular patrons had a good time listening to the music, it looks like the Tuesday night blues jam will be a hit for them.

Thanks Richard. Quite a party for Tuesday night I would say. An auspicous start!!
What can I say about Jimmy Bagshaw? Great drummer. great guy. He played the whole session, never a complaint and when Steve asked him if he needed a break he said as always,"No I'm fine" And that was after working a full day on a real job. The dude' a stud!!

Got the pleasure of guesting on bass last night, first time at the San Juan club for me.
Had a great time, despite the lack of space, the club makes up for it with a very cool vibe.
As Ahnuld says 'I'll be back'.

It is a cool vibe there for some reason, maybe it's the wall-to-wall people just enjoying the heck out of the music.
Carefull not to fall of the stage though, that could cause a serious injury.

Joe,
Sorry to hear about your back, I've been there and it's not fun.
Mr Boutte is stepping into your shoes tonight, my wife has some strange expectation of me being at home occasionally!

I'm feeling a lot better already, maybe it's the medication.

I LOVE rhythm guitar!!!! Having backed 12 million guitar solos, I am pretty jaded, to me the cool stuff is what happens when you are backing someone else. By all means come out to one of our jams!

Had a great time this week down there, they let us (Chicago Blues) do a whole set, and house drummer Lee(?) was very good, we'll be back there next week for sure.

Leigh Lunetta is one of my favorite drummers and a real good friend.

I got to get up and sing a couple of tunes with the house band at the San Juan tonight, and I want to thank them for being so inviting and so accomodating. I had a ball. Exactly the kind of camaraderie that musicians should have.
