From the beginning, sight reading and children songs, especially good for younger students 8+ or a teenager, to start reading right away ,just take a little time ,that is something that will stay with you all your life .I do the lessons school style from grade to grade including songs you can play along the way in most common tonalities or anything else you might want to learn ,leading to advance guitar soloing improvisation, progressions,scales and music theory.
But if you just looking to improve and learn some songs that's fine. I have huge library of songs and
variety of study material.
$100 a month for 1hr weekly lessons , at my home studio in Rancho Cordova

I have recently produced a practice disc that has all the back up instruments
In a blues format, straight out of the text book ,simple melody
comes as sheet music ,it’s really easy to play .
I have kids as young as 8 yr old play the whole thing.
But it’s good for warm up improvising and practicing chops.
