Yesterday was woken by a call from a dude in England!!!! He owns a record company called Jazzman Records and wants to put a song I recorded with the group Watercolor in 1974 on a compilation of unknown bands from back in the day called California Funk. We spent a good bit of time on the phone and internet working on the liner notes and he got excited when I told him I had promo pictures.
Get this: he said that if I had a copy of the 45 it would fetch several hundred dollars from collectors of such stuff. Now I haven't had or heard the record for 30 years maybe, so he sent me an mp3 and I took a trip down memory lane.
For you oldtimers(like me, just ask Tony Perez) it was recorded at the Wild Brothers 3 track studio in Rio Linda across from the Detour Inn.

Wish I did, it was a Mosrite with an EBO pickup. You can hear the song , All Bundled in One here. It's the first tune on the player. www.myspace.com/joelevandfriends

The Wild Brothers were probably the first band I heard in 1969 when I got out of the army. I was thinking about them last week. Anyone know what happened to them?

Rick is pretty messed up from diabetes, both legs gone etc. He calls me occasionally.
Joe is back east last I heard.
