Hello Sacramento Bands, Two touring bands will be passing through the Sacramento area on Wednesday May 12th. We currently have the date on hold at the Shire Road Club but the promoter asked me to find a local band or two to headline. Both touring bands are in the instrumental/ambient/post metal vein so a band that can work with that style would be preferred, but this is definitely not required. We would actually be up for most any kind of metal, noise, dark folk, experimental ect.. I think of course that the promoters main concern is whether or not you have some draw. If you would like to check us out please go to one of these sites to hear our music: www.ninthmoonblack.com (give the player a few moments to load) www.myspace.com/ninthmoonblackand please also check out our friends in the Blckwvs, who will be flying over from Germany to do this tour with us: www.myspace.com/blckwsIf anyone could even suggest a few bands for me to contact that would be most appreciated. Thanks! Kasey ninthmoonblack@gmail.com

The metal scene is pretty good as far as I know. Most of the bands of that type play at The Boardwalk. This club has recently opened up again to the live music. Just wondering, why are you doing the promoters work? Hopefully you are gonna get a cut for putting the show together.

I would suggest Not playing at the Shire if the promoter is making you "an out of town band" book the show. Plus they dont sell Beer!!!! On The Y has a big Metal crowd most of the time and the booking guy Grant is cool. Another one would be The 16th st Cafe if you want the all ages deal. Also very cool booking people that will work with you. Then we have The Fire Escape or The Distillery, R5 Records. Here are a few links for you. www.myspace.com/musiconthey www.myspace.com/thejavaloungewww.myspace.com/the.distillerywww.myspace.com/sacramentopunkshows This one has a complete list of most clubs and promoters with details. Hope that helps, come back and let us know when you come through town.

the fire escape is probably the best bet, plus they have a top notch sound system and engineer to go with it
