Lady & The Tramps will be playing the annual Girls' Night Out event in Placerville this Saturday 8/28 from 6-9pm. We will be at the center of things, setting up outdoors at the Bell Tower in the middle of historic Main Street. Here is some more info from the Placerville Downtown Association web site, including our picture. www.placerville-downtown.org/GirlsNightOut.htmlWe are a new band and this is a very big deal for us. I'm not posting here to brag or even to draw anyone to the show (well, maybe a little). But I really want to reinforce all of the positive comments people have made on this site about the Weekend Warrior program. Lady & The Tramps came together for the February Weekend Warrior show at Harlow's earlier this year. We got our first gig directly as a result of someone who saw us at the show. We played that gig for free but rehearsed as if it was 1963 and we were getting ready to go on the Ed Sullivan Show. Plus we had to expand our five song Weekend Warrior set into 90 minutes of music! We didn't know each other before Weekend Warriors and we all thought it was going to be a one and done thing. But we stuck together and now pinch ourselves that we actually get paid for playing music (it's the first band for all the members of the group). Weekend Warriors is a great, great, great, great, great program and I highly encourage all newbies and not-so-newbies to check it out.

I remember your band from that Warriors round and I am not at all surprised you guys stuck together. You had a great sound and what looked like great chemistry on stage. Congrats and good luck. And don't be afraid to tout your success.
