Defiant

I, as a visitor, have taken the time to read all the posts in most of the categories. I was considering joining this site.

I have read the 14 existing posts by the former user known as "Defiant".

I did not see anything that warranted this user being "banned".

I have considered joining this forum, but surely this gives me pause.

I too, have run into the crazy world of C.L. and even played music with some of the "whackos" out there. (Paradise and Magalia seem to harbor an inordinate number of them!) I didn't see anything in the 14 posts by "Defiant" that was particularly objectionable. Just opinions.

But, I note that most of the posts on this forum date to 2009 and this is 2011. There is not much new going on in this Sacramento little world here. Just the same posts by the same folks. Perhaps the members of this exclusive little "club" should just close new memberships and get together for a monthly tea.

If the posts I have read are what caused "defiant" to be expelled, and there were not much, much worse offenses happening...then I will be happy that I did not bother to join this group. I know who all of you are, have looked at your sites and so forth. Some of you are pretty good musicians, others, so-so. You are certainly an opinionated bunch. And, I might add, I have been to some of the jams in Sacto (way, way back, prior to having my own band(s), you were not particularly nice to newcomers based on my experiences.

Well, I have this forum bookmarked to keep an eye on, but I wonder if it will thrive in the future.

One thing that keeps C.L. going is that they post ...everything! And, believe me, I have some A$$holes that I can't stand (after working with them about 3 times). But, the message is this...diversity is the spice of life and banning "Defiance" didn't seem warranted to me (again based on what I read). Show me more evidence that this person was a whacko and maybe I'll change my opinion. Good day, all.
