Hello world, I'm a male singer/songwriter/guitarist in my mid 20's, and I call myself Odd Moniker.
I've got loads of great original songs, and I while I currently play solo sets around town...I feel like many of the songs I write would benefit greatly from added instrumentation. So I want to put a small band together.
I'm looking for a solid DRUMMER and BASSIST. What's very important to note is that I'm NOT trying to start a really loud ROCK band. I am more interested in maintaining the intimate vibe of a solo show. DRUMMERS...ideally you don't mind playing a smaller trap kit, or even various percussion devices. BASSISTS, as with the drums, I'm looking for someone who can serve the song and provide melodic and rhythmic counterpoint to the guitar parts. Acoustic bass would be nice, but not required.
Lots of influences, but I'm picturing a sort of Violent Femmes-meets-Bon Iver-meets-Radiohead sort of thing. Only time will tell, as I'm open to new interpretations of my material. I'm really looking to expand my sound out of the solo singer/songwriter thing and into more collaborative territory.
