Just wanted to let you all know about these Hippie Hour shows I've been doing in Sacramento. Also, that musicians are welcome to jam/showcase.
I started these every 2nd Tuesdays at the Torch Club from 5:30 to 7:30 and now I have one every Friday at Old I from 5 PM to 7 or 7:30, depending upon their Friday night band schedules.
It is "acoustic" in that there is no drum kit, but percussion and amps are welcome. I set up a small PA for vocals and acoustic instruments and I have a GK bass monitor amp for visiting bassists.
Usually mandolin player, Ken Burnett, is with me. We play all styles of music, including originals.
If musicians want to be featured, send me an email at mylar (atsign) mylarville.com. Give me a couple of weeks lead time if you want some press for your appearance.
There is no cover for either venue and you have to be 21. If you want to play a whole show, I can pay a little bit and we can talk off-line about that arrangement. Your beverages will be free.
