** Louies Blues Jam on Wednesday
I think its a great place to network with other musicians. I posted this fact 3 times on Craigslist, and each time it was flagged. Those events encouraged me to make this message board.

Thanks Richard!! It is a good time, I have been in the house band for 1 1/2 years and have seen the scene grow in a real good direction. I don't know what's up with the moron or morons that that keep tearing it down. See you there!! And remember we do it on Sundays at 2 as well.

Last wed. 1/28 was just one of those magical nights at Louie's....every set was just great.
I tried to go home 3 different times as I was tired. But the next set would get up and play, the music was just fantastic, and I HAD to stay and listen. This happened set after set.
How can anyone leave when the music's great and it's free?

Chris- Louies is magical because of people like you that show up week after week and play their asses off and support the other musicians that show up to do the same. No attitudes, little,if any, drama. Just one big happy family

So true - The few times I have gone have been great and it helped me as a bass player gain more confindence about bass playing in general. Wish I could do more but get up at 5:30am during the week. BUT!!! Now there is Sunday ;D

I hate myself in the morning when I hit the "snooze" button 2 or 3 times to get that extra 15 minutes of sleep, cursing myself all the while. But in the end I made the decsion to stay and listen knowing full well that I'd pay dearly for it in the morning. But honestly, when the music is great, it attracts me like some strange magnetic force to stay and enjoy what I'm hearing, knowing full well that I'll pay for it the next day. It's a choice I've made many times and, in the end, never had any regrets. Just droopy tired eyes the next day.

Hey guys, I just joined this board. What's the scoop with Louies? Can my band come out on a Sunday and play a song or 2? Or is it just for single musicians to join in and jam. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.
Thanks for the info.

Sparky-
You can bring the band in and play a few songs, if y'all are 21 or over. We do it Sundays at 3 and Wednesday at 8.

Joe Lev, what's the gear situation like at the open jams? Does everyone bring their own axe & amp or is there stuff to play on? I haven't been to a jam in a long time so I'm outta of the loop. Beamer
